How to Specify an Architectural LED Ring Pendant
An open-center ring pendant can work as a single architectural focal point or as part of a layered circular composition. Specification should coordinate ring diameter, suspension geometry, direct-indirect light ratio, finish and dimming with the scale and ceiling conditions of the project.
Scale the Open Ring
Select the diameter in relation to the table, reception zone or circulation area below. Larger 47- and 59-inch rings suit high ceilings and open spaces, while smaller rings can be repeated for a coordinated visual rhythm.
Plan Direct and Indirect Light
Selectable up/down ratios allow the ring to prioritize useful downlight, ceiling brightness or a balanced combination. Ceiling height, reflectance and target illuminance should guide the final distribution.
Develop Multi-Ring Compositions
Multiple ring pendant lights can be staggered, overlapped or suspended at different heights. Include canopy locations, cable lengths and a reflected ceiling plan so the composition can be reviewed before quotation.

Information to Include With Your RFQ
Provide the required diameter, quantity, suspension height, ceiling condition, CCT, CRI, voltage, dimming protocol, finish and target delivery schedule. For multi-ring compositions, include a reflected ceiling plan and the intended mounting points.
Can ring pendant lights provide both uplight and downlight?
Selected ring systems support direct-indirect distribution. Confirm the desired output balance and ceiling reflectance during specification.
Can multiple rings be combined in one installation?
Yes. Rings may be repeated, staggered or suspended at different heights. A coordinated plan helps confirm canopy positions, cable lengths and visual spacing.
Are custom finishes available?
Project finishes can be reviewed by RAL reference, quantity and schedule. Standard black and white remain the most common architectural choices.

2700K-5000K Color Temperature Options
Coordinate ring pendant lighting with the material palette and atmosphere of the interior. Warm 2700K and 3000K light supports hospitality, lounges and intimate spaces; 3500K provides a balanced commercial white; 4000K and 5000K create a cleaner, cooler appearance for workplace and task-oriented environments.
